An Introduction to Safeguarding Vulnerable Children (Level 1)

• This 3 hour course explores the concept of safeguarding and how this impacts on practice, the importance of accurate record keeping, working in partnership and understanding the local Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.

This course is being mapped into the new QCF qualifications. It provides relevant knowledge evidence and skills for the Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People’s Workforce (CYPW)

The aim of the course is to raise awareness and understanding of child protection issues and the practitioners’ role and responsibilities in safeguarding children.

The training explores the concept of Safeguarding children and how this impacts on practice, the importance of accurate record keeping, working in partnership and understanding the Local Safeguarding Children Board Policies and Procedures.
